The 116th U.S. Amateur Championship, the oldest golf championship in America, is underway at Oakland Hills Country Club just outside of Detroit in Bloomfield Township, Michigan.

Speaking with some of these young men, these Donald Ross designed courses are going to be a great test. The main theme from most, however, is that they are looking forward to seeing where their game stacks up with the many college player, and older amateurs in the field.
